CoV Youth Recognition Awards postponed...
The City of Vancouver Youth Recognition Awards is an annual celebration where youth, adult allies, and youth programs and organizations are recognized for their contributions to Vancouver. Normally, nominations begin in February with a ceremony in May during Youth Week. This year, the Youth Awards nominations and celebration will be later in the year. This will give us time to look for partners to carry on hosting the Awards into the future.
The City has been hosting the Youth Awards since 2003. Now, in this time of increasing constraints and staff reductions, we need some help pulling off this event, if it is to continue on an annual basis. So, please stay tuned… and if you have any ideas or questions or are interested in partnering with us, please feel free to contact Steven at steven.dang(at)vancouver.ca.

This project is a community engagement process that recognizes the positive assets (physical, social, cultural, and organizational) in the neighbourhood surrounding 6-12 year olds in the community. As well it will provide the opportunity for community members to help develop future opportunities for 6-12 year olds.
